Youth and Their Issues
It is a bare fact that Youth play a significant role in every society. They are full of energy, creativity, and new ideas. Youth are the real change-makers in politics, social sectors, education, and economic development.it is said that real change makers are youth because they have courage to transforme societies as they are zealous, enthusiastic and passionate.
Every nation's progress depends on its youth ,because youth are the future of the nation. If youth are guided properly, they can bring positive change, strengthen democracy, and build a prosperous society.
Even the history has witnessed that youth have brought revolutionary changes across the globe.
Youth actively raise their voices against injustice, inequality, and corruption. Many social movements and reforms throughout history were led by young people.
Youth are the future leaders, policymakers, and professionals. The direction of a nation depends on how its youth are trained and empowered today.
However, in a country like Pakistan,where approximately.51.5 % of population is youth who face many serious issues that prevent them from playing their full role in national development. Despite having talent and potential, a large number of young people suffer due to social, economic, and political problems. Today youth in Pakistan face many issues which have intercepted them to play their due role in nations,s head way.
Today youth are deprived of their geniun and legitimate rights because of this they are not able to play their role in true sense .
Unemployment
Unemployment is the biggest problem faced by Pakistani youth. Many educated young do not find suitable jobs due to lack of opportunities. Though they are capable yet their is no good space for them. Government is not able to confer them job opportunities,
Youth are wandering here and their ,at last they become disappointed and change their track. This leads to frustration and hopelessness among youth. Many youth who are talented but lack of opportunities their talent and guts are waisted.
Lack of Quality Education
The education system in Pakistan is outdated and unequal. Here class wise education system creates many issues. Many youths do not have access to quality education, modern skills, or technical training, which limits their chances of success.the parents who are economically are sound they can educate their siblings, other who are middle class, can not afford to send their siblings to such institutions ,so many youth,s talented is waisted .
Poverty
Poverty is a curse as we have been listening this since long. Indeed, many young people leave education and start earning at an early age. Many pupils are compelled to child labour as their parents can not afford their school or college expenses.Due to financial problems, youth cannot fulfill their dreams or improve their living standards.
Political Exploitation
Youth are often used by political parties for protests and campaigns, but their real issues are ignored. They are rarely given leadership roles or decision-making power.
It is good to take part in political activities after completion of education ,unluckily some youth at their early age join politics and their career is lost. Some times they are used to only chant slogans or they only join a party to get a job through recommendation culture. Some other political workers are betrayed and become detracted.
Drug Addiction and Crime
Every youth is a shining star of the society. And parents,teachers,and Government considers him the future asset.unfortunatly, due to unemployment, stress, and lack of guidance, many youths fall into drug addiction and criminal activities. This not only destroys their future but also harms society.when youth don't have positive activities ,they indulged in unhealthy activities or they become disappointed and at the last they become psycho.and think negative .some times youth who are disappointed they avoid sue responsibilities and take a negative paths. They enjoy bad companies and detracted ,in this way they may join gangisters or criminals .this leads the youth to a dark future
Lack of Career Guidance
Many youths are confused about career choices because there is little career counseling in schools and colleges. Even they are aware of their subjects and their scope.they are not guided properly. After completion their F.Sc they start thinking of their future untill it has gone too late.many youth take pre medical cause their close friends have taken medical as career.As a result, they choose wrong fields or remain unemployed or having no capacity in concerns field.
Mental Health Issues
Pressure of studies, unemployment, and social expectations cause anxiety and depression among youth. Many students are capable but cause of lack of opertunity unity in their field ,they become disappointed and prolonged depression causes mental health issues. This leads them to negative thinking which is a night mare and may lead youth to something wrong.
Conclusion
Youth are the backbone of any nation,if dealt properly and bestowed opertunities. without proper opportunities, guidance, and support, their natural ability is wasted. If we really want to make progress as. Nation we should project youth and brig them forth for a true change. The Government and entire stock holders must think about youth and involve. Youth in decision making progress, then our youth can become true builders of the nation.
