What is a prefix?
Prefixes are letters that are kept/ put at the start of words that change their meanings.
Or
A prefix is a letter or a group of letters attached to the beginning of a word that changes the meaning of that word .
For example,
" Un" is a prefix when we keep this prefix at the begining of word "happy" so, the meaning of word happy is changed and the new word is "unhappy."
The prefix un- usually means not. For example:
Unlock
Unhappy
Uncomfortable
Unlucky
Unfortunately
