HAVE And HAS USES
Have and Has are verbs in the English language. They have different uses at different places .
1. Have /Has for possession
They can both be used to show possession
In the present time.
For example,
1. She has a new card.
2. He has an apartment .
3. It has a big window .
4. Mike has two dogs .
Note: Has is used with Third person singular.
Whereas with Third person plural , 1st person singular and other plural subjects
we use Have.
e.g,
1. They have a gun.
2. We have a car.
3. You have a new dress .
4.I have some books .
5. Mike and Jane have books.
6. Nurses have a difficult job.
How to make contraction form
Contractions / Contracted form
I have = I’ve
you have = you’ve
we have = we’ve
they have = They’ve
he has = he’s
it has = it’s
Remember:
‘Had’ is the past tense of both ‘has’ and ‘have'
and it is used same in all subjects.
e g.
1.She had a car last year
2.They had a nice apartment in Dublin.
3. I had this book last week.

e g ,
1. She has a car
Negative, She does not have a car.
2.She has a great personality.
Negative, She does not have a great personality.
3. They have a gun.
Negative, They don't have a gun.
4. We have a computer .
Negative, We don't have a computer .
